Use of your personal information

The Meat Box use your personal information to process product orders and deliver the products requested. It is possible that The Meat Box may also use personal information to inform you of other products or services available from The Meat Box.

The Meat Box does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties.

We hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, such as shipping processed orders. We will only provide those companies the personal information they need to deliver the service. They are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information and are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.

The Meat Box may access and/or disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on The Meat Box or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of The Meat Box, including its Web site; or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of The Meat Box or the public.

Should you wish to cancel a transaction we ask that you notify us by 7am on the day you have nominated for dispatch. If you would like to query the charges to your card please phone us on 0800 MEATBOX

Control your personal information

The Meat Box offers its customers choices for the collection, use and sharing of personal information. You may go notify us of your preferences by emailing info@themeatbox.co.nz. Please be sure to provide complete account information so we can identify you in our records.

You may also stop the delivery of future promotional e-mail from The Meat Box by responding directly to any email you receive with a request to remove you from the mailing list.

Security of your personal information

The Meat Box is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide on computer systems with limited access, that are located in controlled facilities. When we transmit highly confidential information (such as a credit card number) over the Internet, we protect it through SSL. We do not store credit card details.

Marketing 

The Meat Box will use your personal information for purposes that relate to the operation of our business and the provision of services to you as well as promotional and/or educative activities including keeping you up-to-date with products, services or events we think would be of particular interest to you. 'Marketing' will often include email marketing and/or SMS marketing. Your data will not be shared with third party providers and can be removed from our database at any time.

SMS Marketing 

The Meat Box will send SMS messages periodically to customers that have opted in to the service. The communications include but are not limited to discounts, promotions, order reminders and new product alerts. 

The Meat Box uses cookies to help keep track of items you put into your shopping cart including when you have abandoned your cart and this information is used to determine when to send cart reminder messages via SMS when applicable.

From time to time we may send special deals to location-based areas (e.g. Auckland). This data is collected from your customer profile that you have submitted to our system only. We do not track your location. 

Your data will be collected via a sign-up form and stored in our system and will not be shared with third parties. Your data can be deleted at any time by emailing info@themeatbox.co.nz.

Changes to this statement

The Meat Box will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy to reflect company and customer feedback. If there are material changes to this Statement or in how The Meat Box will use your personal information, Th Meat Box will prominently post such changes prior to implementing the change. The Meat Box encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how The Meat Box is protecting your information.
