The Meat Box delivers New Zealand wide North and South Island.
We DO NOT deliver to RURAL addresses (sorry but this may take up to 3 days and we can’t risk our product sitting for that length of time) if you do live Rural you could organize your Meat Box to be delivered to a location for a collection that is not a rural address. If you are unsure whether we can deliver to your address please send us a message on the website and we will reply asap if we are able.
Deliveries are made Tuesday-Friday 9am-6pm
Business/ Company addresses can be delivered between 9am-12pm
We use a national courier network, Courier-Post, to deliver our meat boxes. All our meat is packed with ice packs in an insulated chiller box to keep your meat chilled both during delivery and also sitting at your door. In temperature trials, our packaging system has been proven to keep meat at cold for up to 12 hours, so you can be sure that your meat will be in the best condition when it reaches you.
*Please note: If you are getting your order delivered to your business address, please ensure you have a chilled place to store your meat till you head home at the end of the day. Most orders will be delivered between 9am-5pm on your chosen day.
We know how busy weekdays can be so you don’t need to be home when we deliver; we can leave your Meat Box in a designated area, just let us know by including delivery instructions on your account/ check out.
North Island deliveries are at a flat-fee of $8.00.
*South Island deliveries are $15.00 per 5kg and additional $5 per kg after
example: Order 7.8kg ($15 +$5 +$5)
Each of our delivery boxes is designed to carry up to 8-10kg. Keep an eye out for freight specials on our Facebook page and monthly Meat Box newsletter.
* South Island bound orders have incurred a number of price rises from our courier provider since we began. In an effort to service ALL of the country we absorbed these increases to date and subsidised such. However, the cost to get orders to the South Island has become too high not to pass some of them on to the customer. The good news is, as we continue to grow we gain stronger negotiating power with both suppliers and courier providers. The only downside is this may take a little time and not see a result till the other side of Christmas. We do hope you understand we are really sorry to have to do this to so many of our loyal customers, but as all South Island orders are flown down overnight there is a large charge connected with this and we are truly doing our best to get the cost down.
You can choose your own delivery date when placing your order online. We deliver Tuesday to Friday for residential/business addresses.
We cut everything to order to ensure you are getting the freshest meat possible.
To ensure this we have to have a cut off time for orders please see below:
Order on Friday/Saturday/ Sunday night before 12 am and receive your order on Tuesday.
Order Monday before 12 am and receive your order on Wednesday
Order Tuesday before 12 am and receive your order on Thursday
Order Wednesday before 12 am and receive your order on Friday
Order Thursday before 12 am and receive your order following Tuesday
Orders placed over the weekend will be delivered on Tuesday at the earliest. After this point, orders will be working their way through our butchery so cannot be cancelled or amended. If you have any problems regarding your order please contact us via email firstname.lastname@example.org
Customers submitting an order after this time will have the option to choose a delivery date the following day, or a range of later dates.
You can track your order by going to the Account Info screen (right-hand corner), clicking your order, and then clicking on the courier tracking number.

If you have not received your order by 4:00 pm on the due day please contact our helpful team on (0800) MEATBOX, and we will help you locate where your delivery is.
You can have a one-off order or choose from weekly/fortnightly/monthly regular delivery of The Meat Box.
Your order constitutes an order for an ongoing and regular purchase and delivery of Meat/Meats selected and will, subject to the rights to pause and terminate set out in these terms and conditions, continue indefinitely. You can choose to pause (for a period of time) or terminate (indefinitely) your order.
All these changes can be done through your Account Info in top right-hand corner of each page.
You are liable for every order made under your Login details.
You can also choose to change a weekly delivery to a fortnightly/monthly delivery and vice versa.
The cut-off day and time for changing the existing order, pausing or cancelling an order is 2 days before the relevant Delivery Date by 7am.
Deliveries are made on a Tuesday through to Friday (9am- 6:30pm).
The Meat Box payments are processed through a secure DPS Payment Express system. Credit card details are stored for recurring payments through the DPS system, no credit card information is stored by The Meat Box.
