Subscription Terms and Conditions
1.Introduction
The Meat Box provides a subscription service. By subscribing to our service and placing your first subscription order, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Subscription Terms and Conditions and our general Terms of Service.
At all times our intention is to treat our Subscription Customers well, we truly appreciate your the price and availability of meat and other products can change due to seasonal, supplier, market and other factors, our subscription prices and product contents may change in accordance with these terms.
2. Automatic renewal and payment
Your subscription will automatically renew on a recurring basis, at which time your selected payment method will be charged automatically for the subscription products until you cancel your subscription. Taxes and shipping fees may apply.
You are responsible for reviewing your upcoming order before its scheduled processing date and ensuring your payment and delivery information is current.
3. Pricing and product changes
The Meat Box have the right to alter the price of any product on subscription, up or down, to match the current price offered on our website, excluding temporary, volume-based, subscriber-only or regional offers. Any applicable subscription discount will then be applied to the current eligible product price.
Products that are already on sale or otherwise discounted are excluded from the standard 10% subscriber discount. Unless expressly stated otherwise, discounts cannot be combined.
The Meat Box also has the right to adjust the products in a set box at any time. This could include changes to the contents of Meat Boxes, Produce Boxes and any other boxes that are pre-bundled.
4. Minimum order value
The minimum spend for an order, after discounts, to be eligible for subscription is $50.
Shipping charges do not count towards the $50 minimum.
To be eligible for the Subscriber benefit of 10% off full priced items, your minimum subscription value must be above $50.
5. Subscription offer
Subscription offer from 5 August 2026
From 5 August 2026, all active Meat Box subscribers will receive the following subscription benefits:
· 10% off eligible products that are not already on sale or otherwise discounted.
· The 10% discount applies to eligible recurring subscription products and eligible one-off products added to an upcoming subscription order.
· The discount applies while the customer remains an active subscriber and continues to meet the requirements of these terms.
· Access to selected subscriber-only offers and promotional pricing made available by The Meat Box from time to time.
Subscriber-only offers may have their own eligibility requirements, dates, product limits, stock limits and additional terms. These offers may not be combined with other discounts unless expressly stated.
From 5 August 2026, the previous free bacon and legacy free-delivery subscription offers will end. Customers receiving either of those benefits will automatically move to the new subscription offer. Free bacon and free delivery will no longer apply to subscription orders processed on or after 5 August 2026.
Standard shipping charges will apply unless the order qualifies for another delivery offer expressly available at the time the order is processed. Rural, weekend and other delivery surcharges may still apply.
Subscription offer before 5 August 2026
For customers subscribed after 12pm on 18th July 2025 - known as new subscribers - the offer is to receive a free 250g Bacon pack with all orders on subscriptions over $50. The free bacon will be automatically applied to all recurring subscriptions.
Customers subscribed before 12pm 18th July 2025 - known as legacy subscribers - will continue to receive our previous subscriber offer of free delivery on every subscription order over $50. Legacy subscribers will not be able to receive the new subscriber offer of free bacon, unless they request to change offers. A customer cannot receive free delivery and free bacon. If a legacy subscriber cancels their subscription then reactivates it, they will be changed to the new subscriber offer of free bacon.
Definition of an active subscriber
An “active subscriber” is a customer with an active Meat Box subscription that has not been cancelled or expired. A paused subscription will not receive subscription benefits on orders placed separately during the pause. Subscription benefits will resume when the subscription is reactivated, subject to the offer available at that time.
6. Minimum commitment and early cancellation
Minimum three-delivery commitment
By starting a subscription, you agree to complete a minimum of three subscription deliveries before cancelling. You may pause a delivery or change the products and delivery frequency during this period, subject to these terms, but pausing or rescheduling does not reduce the minimum number of completed deliveries required.
If you ask to cancel before completing three subscription deliveries, The Meat Box will require you to repay the value of the standard subscription discounts you received on completed orders before the cancellation takes effect.
The repayment amount will be limited to the actual subscription discounts applied to your completed orders. It will not include unrelated promotional discounts unless the applicable promotion expressly stated otherwise. We will provide you with an itemised calculation before charging or invoicing you.
For example, if you complete two subscription deliveries and receive a total of $18 in standard subscription discounts, the early-cancellation repayment would be $18.
Once The Meat Box receives your early cancellation request, they will send a digital payment request for the total of the subscription discount deemed repayable. The subscription will only be cancelled once this payment has been made, failure to pay this will result in the subscription continuing as normal.
Once you have completed three subscription deliveries, you may cancel without repaying standard subscription discounts received on those completed deliveries.

7. Delivery
Delivery charges and any available delivery discounts are set out on our website and may change from time to time. Rural, weekend and other delivery surcharges may apply and may be excluded from delivery promotions.
8. Changes to the subscription offer
We may amend, replace or withdraw subscription benefits from time to time. Where a change materially reduces the value of an active customer’s subscription, we will provide reasonable advance notice using the contact details associated with the customer’s account.
Customers may pause or cancel their subscription before the change takes effect, subject to any minimum commitment already accepted and applicable consumer law.
No change to these terms limits any rights or remedies available under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or other applicable law.
9. Managing a subscription
You may change eligible subscription products, add eligible one-off products, pause an upcoming delivery or alter your delivery frequency through the Subscriptions section of your account, provided changes are made before the applicable order-processing cut-off.
Cancelling or pausing a subscription does not cancel an order that has already been processed.

10% subscriber discount – Terms and Conditions
1. Eligibility
The offer is available to customers with an active Meat Box subscription through themeatbox.co.nz.
Customers must select a subscription option and meet the minimum subscription order value. A one-off purchase made by a person who does not have an active subscription is not eligible.
2. The offer
Active subscribers receive 10% off eligible products that are not already on sale or otherwise discounted.
The discount applies to eligible recurring subscription products and eligible one-off products added to an upcoming subscription order.
The discount continues while the customer remains an active subscriber and complies with these terms.
3. Excluded products and offers
· Products already on sale or otherwise discounted.
· Gift cards.
· Delivery charges or surcharges.
· Any products or categories expressly identified as excluded.
· Bulk, wholesale or corporate orders, unless expressly agreed.
· Other promotions that cannot be combined with the subscriber discount.
4. Subscriber-only offers
Active subscribers may receive access to selected products, prices and promotions that are not available to non-subscribers.
Each subscriber-only offer may be subject to a limited promotional period, stock availability, quantity limits, product exclusions and separate offer terms. Access to one subscriber-only offer does not guarantee that the same or another offer will remain available.
5. Minimum order and commitment
The minimum subscription order value is $50 after discounts.
Subscribers agree to complete at least three subscription deliveries. The early-cancellation provisions in the general Subscription Terms and Conditions apply if a customer requests cancellation before completing three deliveries.
6. Payment, renewal and pricing
Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected frequency, and the customer’s selected payment method will be charged accordingly.
Product prices and box contents may change. The 10% subscriber discount is calculated against the current eligible product price at the time the applicable order is processed.
7. Pausing or cancelling
If a subscription is paused, cancelled or expires, subscription benefits will not apply to future orders unless and until the customer has an eligible active subscription.
Orders already processed cannot be cancelled merely by pausing or cancelling the underlying subscription.
8. Changes to the offer
The Meat Box may amend, replace or withdraw the offer in accordance with the change and notice provisions in the general Subscription Terms and Conditions.
9. Other terms
This offer is governed by the general Subscription Terms and Conditions and The Meat Box Terms of Service. By subscribing, the customer accepts those terms and these offer-specific conditions.
