Subscription Terms and Conditions

The Meat Box provides a subscription service. By subscribing to our service through placing your first subscription order, you have confirmed that you accept our Terms of Service.

At all times our intention is to treat our Subscription Customers well, we truly appreciate your on-going custom. However, as Meat, in particular can change in price seasonally, or due to factors like the falling exchange rate we do need to protect ourselves by having flexible terms and conditions.

Your subscription will automatically renew on a recurring basis at which time your credit card will be charged automatically for the subscription products until you cancel your subscription. Taxes and shipping fees may apply.

The Meat Box have the right to alter the cost of any product on subscription (up or down) to match the current price offered (excluding any temporary, volume based or regional discounts), less any applicable subscription discount. 

The Meat Box also has the right to adjust the products in a set a box at any time. This could be changing the contents of Meat Boxes, Produce Boxes and any other boxes that are pre-bundled.  

The minimum spend for an order (after discount) to be eligible for Subscription is $50. 

 

As of July 2025, our offer is: 

For customers subscribed after 12pm on 18th July 2025 - known as new subscribers - the offer is to receive a free 250g Bacon pack with all orders on subscriptions over $50. The free bacon will be automatically applied to all recurring subscriptions.

Customers subscribed before 12pm 18th July 2025 - known as legacy subscribers - will continue to receive our previous subscriber offer of free delivery on every subscription order over $50. Legacy subscribers will not be able to receive the new subscriber offer of free bacon, unless they request to change offers. A customer cannot receive free delivery and free bacon. If a legacy subscriber cancels their subscription then reactivates it, they will be changed to the new subscriber offer of free bacon.

Both legacy subscribers and new subscribers must stay subscribed for three deliveries before they can cancel their subscription. If they would like to cancel their subscription before three deliveries have been made, they will be liable to cover the cost of the free delivery or free bacon they received over the duration of their subscription received to date. To do this, a subscriber must send an email to info@themeatbox.co.nz

For example, if they received two subscriptions boxes with free bacon, they will be invoiced for a total of 2 x the current RRP of bacon on our website before the subscription can be cancelled. After three deliveries have been made, the customer may cancel their subscription at any point without having to cover the cost of the free items or delivery they received. 

For non-subscription offers, orders over $150 will receive discounted delivery. Discounted Delivery for subscribers and non-subscribers excludes Rural and weekend delivery. 

We reserve the right to change our subscription offer at any point.

You may change your subscription product or alter your delivery timeframe (excluding cancelling before three deliveries have been made) at any time from the Subscriptions section of your account. If you require any assistance please email info@themeatbox.co.nz

 

Free Bacon for subscribers – Terms & Conditions

We absolutely love rewarding loyal Meat Box subscribers! Here’s how the Free Bacon offer works - complete with all the important details:

1. Eligibility

  • Available only when you subscribe to a Meat Box via themeatbox.co.nz.

  • One-off box purchases are not eligible.

  • Must choose the subscription option at checkout.

  • Legacy subscribers (those who subscribed before 12 pm on 18 July 2025) already receiving a Free Delivery for Life offer are not eligible for free bacon — unless they explicitly switch offers. A customer cannot have both offers simultaneously. If a legacy subscriber cancels and reactivates their subscription, they will be moved to the new bacon-inclusive offer. The Meat Box

2. What the offer is

  • Receive one 250g pack of bacon with every subscription delivery, for as long as your subscription remains active.

  • If you pause, cancel, or end your subscription, the offer ends at that point.

3. The bacon itself

  • Qualifying boxes come with one 250g bacon pack, added automatically.

  • The specific variety may change based on availability, but it will always meet Meat Box standards.

4. Minimum subscription commitment

  • Subscribers must complete at least three deliveries.

  • Cancel before the third delivery? You’ll be liable for the bacon you’ve already received. For example:

    • Cancel after 1 box → charged for 1 × 250g bacon pack.

    • Cancel after 2 boxes → charged for 2 × 250g bacon packs.

  • After completing 3 deliveries, you may cancel any time without owing for past bacon. The Meat Box

5. Fair use

  • Offer for individual subscription customers only; excludes bulk or corporate orders.

  • Free bacon cannot be exchanged for other products, cash, or credit.

6. Payment, pricing & box content flexibility

  • Pricing, including subscription discounts, and box contents may change over time to reflect cost fluctuations.

  • Subscription boxes renew automatically at your chosen frequency, and your chosen payment method is charged accordingly.

  • Minimum spend for subscription is $50, after discounts.

7. Delivery terms

  • Deliveries follow our standard delivery policies (zones, timing, etc.) as detailed on our site.

8. Changes to the offer

  • Meat Box reserves the right to amend or withdraw the offer at any time.

  • Active subscribers will be notified in advance if changes are made.

9. Other applicable terms

  • This offer is governed by our standard subscription terms and conditions.

  • Subscribing indicates acceptance of both these bacon-specific terms and our general subscription T&Cs.
