Terms and Conditions - The Meat Box Jackpot

  1. Promoter
    The “The Meat Box Jackpot” promotion (“Promotion”) is organised by Kennerley Gourmet Grocery, trading as The Meat Box (“Promoter”). By participating in the Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

  2. Eligibility
    The Promotion is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or older, excluding employees and immediate family members of the Promoter and anyone professionally connected with the Promotion.

  3. Promotion Period

    The Promotion begins at 7:00 pm NZDT on 30 September 2026 and closes at 11:59 pm NZDT on 30 October 2026 (“Promotion Period”).

    Any valid and completed online order placed throughwww.themeatbox.co.nz during the Promotion Period will be eligible for entry into the Promotion, subject to these Terms and Conditions.

  4. How to Enter
    To enter, participants must place a valid and completed online order through www.themeatbox.co.nz during the Promotion Period.

Each separate eligible order placed during the Promotion Period will automatically receive one entry into the applicable prize draw.

No additional payment is required to enter other than the normal cost of the products ordered and any applicable standard delivery charges.

  1. Eligible Orders
    An order must be successfully placed and paid for during the applicable entry period to qualify.

Orders that are cancelled, refunded in full, fraudulent, subject to a payment chargeback, or otherwise not completed will not be eligible.

Orders placed outside the Promotion Period and purchases made through any physical retail location are not eligible.

  1. Prize Pool
    There are 10 prizes available during the Promotion Period.

Each prize consists of one physical Mini Meat Box voucher valued at NZ$250, redeemable through The Meat Box.

The total prize pool is NZ$2,500.

  1. Prize Draws and Winner Selection
    Ten separate prize draws will take place during the Promotion Period.

The draw dates are:

For each draw, one eligible order will be selected at random from the eligible orders received for that applicable draw period.

Each draw will award one NZ$250 Mini Meat Box voucher.

Once an order has won a prize, that order will not be eligible to win another prize.

  1. How Winners Receive Their Prize
    Each winner will receive a physical Mini Meat Box voucher valued at NZ$250.

The voucher will be placed inside the winning customer’s The Meat Box delivery before the order is dispatched.

The winner may therefore first discover that they have won when they open their delivery and find the Mini Meat Box voucher inside.

Where reasonably necessary, the Promoter may also contact the winner using the contact details provided with their order.

If circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control prevent the physical voucher from being included in the winning delivery, the Promoter may arrange for the voucher to be delivered to the winner separately.

  1. Prize Redemption
    Each NZ$250 Mini Meat Box voucher may be redeemed through www.themeatbox.co.nz in accordance with the redemption instructions supplied with the voucher.

Each voucher will be valid for 180 days from the date it is issued. Any unused value remaining after the expiry date will be forfeited.

Any purchase exceeding the remaining value of the voucher must be paid for by the winner using an accepted payment method.

  1. Prize Conditions
    Prizes are not redeemable for cash and no cash alternative will be offered.

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with redeeming or using the prize other than the NZ$250 value expressly included in the prize.

  1. Verification and Disqualification
    The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of any entry and to disqualify an entrant or order where the Promoter reasonably believes there has been fraud, manipulation of the entry process, a breach of these Terms and Conditions, or other conduct that compromises the fair operation of the Promotion.

  2. Promotion Disruption
    If circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control prevent a draw or the Promotion from being conducted as described, the Promoter may take any action reasonably necessary to address those circumstances, subject to applicable New Zealand law.

This may include delays or changes required as a result of natural disasters, extreme weather, government restrictions, significant technical failures, transport disruption or other unforeseen circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control.

  1. Privacy
    Personal information collected in connection with the Promotion will be used by the Promoter for the purposes of administering the Promotion, verifying entries, conducting the draws and contacting winners where required.

Personal information will otherwise be handled in accordance with The Meat Box’s privacy policy and New Zealand privacy law.

  1. Publicity
    By entering the Promotion, entrants acknowledge that if they win, the Promoter may announce their first name and city or town, for example “Kate from Hamilton”, through The Meat Box’s website, email marketing and social media channels for the purpose of announcing Promotion winners.

No surname, street address or other identifying information will be published without the winner’s consent.

  1. Social Media
    This Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or any other social media platform on which the Promotion may be advertised.

  2. Liability
    To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter will not be responsible for any loss, delay, disruption or failure resulting from circumstances outside its reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand law.

  1. Governing Law
    These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any dispute relating to the Promotion will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

  3. Bonus Social Media Giveaway

    A bonus NZ$250 The Meat Box voucher will be given away via The Meat Box’s Facebook and Instagram channels.

    Entries open on 14 October 2026 and close at 11:59 pm NZDT on 20 October 2026. The winner will be drawn at random on 21 October 2026 from all eligible entries received across Facebook and Instagram.

    To enter, participants must comment on the applicable giveaway post and tag someone they would like to share the prize with.

    If the selected winner or their tagged person has not met all entry requirements, the entry will be void and a new winner will be drawn at random.

    The winner will receive one NZ$250 The Meat Box voucher, valid for 180 days from issue.

    This  is no way associated with Meta, Instagram or Facebook.


Terms and Conditions - "Win Free Meat For a Year" Promotion

  1. The "Win Free Meat For a Year" promotion ("Promotion") is organised by Kennerley Gourmet Grocery, trading as The Meat Box ("Promoter"). By participating in this Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  2. The Promotion is open to residents of New Zealand aged 18 years or older, excluding employees and immediate family members of the Promoter or anyone professionally connected with the Promotion.
  3. The Promotion will run from 1st July 2026 at 12:00 AM NZST until 31st July 2026 at 11:59 PM NZST ("Promotion Period").
  4. To be eligible for the Promotion, participants must place a valid and completed order on www.themeatbox.co.nz during the Promotion Period. Each individual order placed will be considered as one entry into the draw.
  5. The winner of the Promotion will be chosen at random from all eligible entries. The draw will take place on Monday, 3rd August 2026. The winner will be the Purchaser and will be contacted using the contact details provided during the order placement process. If the winner fails to respond within 72 hours of the initial contact, the prize will be withdrawn, and an alternate winner will be selected in the same manner.
  6. The winner's first name and first initial of their surname including the city/town will be announced on the Promoter's official social media channels and communicated via email to all participants. 
  7. The prize for the winner of the Promotion consists of a $5200 voucher to The Meat Box, that can be redeemed as a weekly subscription, or a quarterly voucher for the winner to spend through out a 12 month period. The prize value includes any shipping cost i.e. the cost of meat and shipping is to be covered in the $5200 budget.
  8. If a voucher is selected, this voucher will expire on 3rd August 2027, and any unused balance will be void. 
  9. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative. 
  10. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond their control make it necessary to do so.
  11. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the prize that are not expressly included in the prize description. The prize value includes any shipping cost. 
  12. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant suspected of tampering with or undermining the entry process or violating these Terms and Conditions. 
  13. The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Promotion at any time without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to technical issues, fraud, or any other event beyond the control of the Promoter. 
  14. By participating in the Promotion, participants consent to the Promoter using their personal data provided during the order placement process for the purpose of administering the Promotion and contacting the winner.
  15. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
  16. This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other social media platform.
  17. For any inquiries or complaints regarding the Promotion, please contact The Meat Box directly at info@themeatbox.co.nz.

  18. The Meat Box will not be liable for any delay, change, cancellation, or failure to fulfil the Competition or Prize due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemics, government restrictions, supply chain issues, transport disruptions, or other unforeseen events.

    If required, the Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel, or substitute the Prize with an alternative of equal or greater value.


The Meat Box Monthly Subscriber Giveaway – Terms & Conditions

  1. Eligibility
    To be eligible for The Meat Box Monthly Subscriber Giveaway, you must be an active email subscriber to The Meat Box marketing list at the start of the calendar month. Only one entry per person per month is permitted.

  2. How It Works
    Each month, one eligible subscriber will be randomly selected to win a free Butcher’s Box. The draw will take place within the first week of the month.

  3. Winner Notification & Prize Claim

  • The winner will be notified via email using the address subscribed to our mailing list.

  • The winner must respond to the email within 7 days to claim the prize by confirming their delivery address.

  • If no response is received within this time, The Meat Box reserves the right to redraw and select a new winner.

  1. Prize Details
    The prize is one standard Butchers Box, as determined by The Meat Box. The contents may vary from month to month and are not exchangeable for cash or any other products.

  2. Delivery
    The prize will be delivered to a New Zealand residential address provided by the winner. Delivery is subject to standard Meat Box delivery terms and area restrictions.

  3. General Conditions

  • The Meat Box reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the giveaway at any time without notice.

  • By participating, subscribers agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and the decisions of The Meat Box, which are final.

  • Employees of The Meat Box and associated companies are not eligible to win.


Slow Cooker Giveaway - Terms & Conditions

  • The competition runs from 24 May 2026 until 11:59pm NZST on 31 May 2026.
  • To enter, customers must place an order on The Meat Box website during the promotional period.
  • Orders must be fulfilled before the prize is supplied. Cancelled, refunded, fraudulent, or fully refunded orders will not be eligible and will be excluded from the draw.
  • Two winners will be drawn at random from all eligible orders received during the promotional period.
  • Each winner will receive a prize pack valued at approximately $340, including:

  • By entering, winners agree to The Meat Box using their first name and/or social media handle for promotional purposes unless otherwise requested.
  • This promotion is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years and over.
  • This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Instagram or Facebook.
  • The Meat Box reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the promotion at any time if required.
  • By placing an order during the promotional period, entrants are deemed to have accepted these Terms & Conditions.

Easter Long Weekend Giveaway - Terms and Conditions

  • The Easter Long Weekend Giveaway consists of two promotions: an Order to Win giveaway and a Social (Instagram) giveaway.
  • The Order to Win promotion applies to eligible online orders placed between 23 March 2026 and 29 March 2026 (inclusive). Each completed order during this period receives one automatic entry into the draw.
  • The Social Giveaway applies to entries made via Instagram between 24 March 2026 and 29 March 2026 (inclusive). To enter, participants must follow @themeatboxnz and @slowlifecollection and comment. Each comment counts as one entry.
  • Two winners will be drawn on 30 March 2026 - one from all eligible orders and one from all valid Instagram entries. Winners will be contacted directly.
  • Each winner will receive a Slowlife Wool Cooler Bag and Meat Box products to the value of $200 NZD. Total prize value is approximately $400 NZD.

Free Bacon Promotion - Terms and Conditions

  • The Free Bacon promotion applies to eligible online orders placed between 15 March 2026 and 29 March 2026 (inclusive).
  • To qualify, a minimum order value of $50 applies.
  • A chilled item must be ordered for free bacon to be sent. If produce is only ordered, then free bacon won't be sent. 
  • The free bacon item is a 250g pack of Streaky Bacon. The Meat Box reserves the right to substitute this product with a similar item of equal value at any time.
  • This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion, discount code, or deal unless otherwise stated.
  • The free bacon offer applies only to qualifying orders during the promotional period and is subject to availability.The Meat Box reserves the right to amend or withdraw this promotion at any time.

Free Delivery Promotion - Terms and Conditions

  • The Free Delivery promotion applies to standard delivery fees on orders placed between 1 March 2026 and 14 March 2026 (inclusive).
  • Free delivery is available on orders with a minimum spend of $50.
  • This promotion applies to standard metro delivery only. Rural delivery charges, Saturday delivery fees, and any re-delivery charges are excluded and will still apply where relevant.
  • The promotion is valid for online orders only and cannot be used in conjunction with any other delivery offer unless otherwise stated.

Black Friday Feast – Terms & Conditions

The Black Friday Feast sale includes up to 40% off selected meat cuts and up to 50% off selected produce. Discounts apply to selected products only and do not include the full Meat Box range. Christmas Ham discounts exclude all free range hams. Streaky Bacon discount is for 250g only.

Sale pricing is valid from Monday 17 November until Monday 1 December 2025 at 11.59pm NZDT, or while stocks last.

All discounts are applied as marked on product pages. Stock is strictly limited and deals are available on a first-come, first-served basis until sold out. Adding an item to your cart does not reserve stock.

Offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion, voucher, discount code, subscription offer, or bundle deal unless expressly stated. Trade orders are not eligible.

Product availability, pricing, and discounts may vary during the sale period based on stock levels.

The Meat Box reserves the right to amend, adjust, or end the sale or any offer at any time without prior notice, including correcting any errors or inaccuracies.

Pre-orders placed before the Black Friday Feast sale are not eligible for price adjustments.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances, The Meat Box may substitute a product of equal or higher value if required. If a suitable substitution cannot be made, the item may be cancelled and refunded.
