Terms and Conditions - "Win Free Meat For a Year" Promotion

  1. The "Win Free Meat For a Year" promotion ("Promotion") is organised by Kennerley Gourmet Grocery, trading as The Meat Box ("Promoter"). By participating in this Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  2. The Promotion is open to residents of New Zealand aged 18 years or older, excluding employees and immediate family members of the Promoter or anyone professionally connected with the Promotion.
  3. The Promotion will run from 1st July 2026 at 12:00 AM NZST until 31st July 2026 at 11:59 PM NZST ("Promotion Period").
  4. To be eligible for the Promotion, participants must place a valid and completed order on www.themeatbox.co.nz during the Promotion Period. Each individual order placed will be considered as one entry into the draw.
  5. The winner of the Promotion will be chosen at random from all eligible entries. The draw will take place on Monday, 3rd August 2026. The winner will be the Purchaser and will be contacted using the contact details provided during the order placement process. If the winner fails to respond within 72 hours of the initial contact, the prize will be withdrawn, and an alternate winner will be selected in the same manner.
  6. The winner's first name and first initial of their surname including the city/town will be announced on the Promoter's official social media channels and communicated via email to all participants. 
  7. The prize for the winner of the Promotion consists of a $5200 voucher to The Meat Box, that can be redeemed as a weekly subscription, or a quarterly voucher for the winner to spend through out a 12 month period. The prize value includes any shipping cost i.e. the cost of meat and shipping is to be covered in the $5200 budget.
  8. If a voucher is selected, this voucher will expire on 3rd August 2027, and any unused balance will be void. 
  9. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative. 
  10. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with another of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond their control make it necessary to do so.
  11. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the prize that are not expressly included in the prize description. The prize value includes any shipping cost. 
  12. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant suspected of tampering with or undermining the entry process or violating these Terms and Conditions. 
  13. The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Promotion at any time without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to technical issues, fraud, or any other event beyond the control of the Promoter. 
  14. By participating in the Promotion, participants consent to the Promoter using their personal data provided during the order placement process for the purpose of administering the Promotion and contacting the winner.
  15. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
  16. This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other social media platform.

  18. The Meat Box will not be liable for any delay, change, cancellation, or failure to fulfil the Competition or Prize due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemics, government restrictions, supply chain issues, transport disruptions, or other unforeseen events.

    If required, the Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel, or substitute the Prize with an alternative of equal or greater value.

 

The Meat Box Monthly Subscriber Giveaway – Terms & Conditions

  1. Eligibility
    To be eligible for The Meat Box Monthly Subscriber Giveaway, you must be an active email subscriber to The Meat Box marketing list at the start of the calendar month. Only one entry per person per month is permitted.

  2. How It Works
    Each month, one eligible subscriber will be randomly selected to win a free Butcher’s Box. The draw will take place within the first week of the month.

  3. Winner Notification & Prize Claim

  • The winner will be notified via email using the address subscribed to our mailing list.

  • The winner must respond to the email within 7 days to claim the prize by confirming their delivery address.

  • If no response is received within this time, The Meat Box reserves the right to redraw and select a new winner.

  1. Prize Details
    The prize is one standard Butchers Box, as determined by The Meat Box. The contents may vary from month to month and are not exchangeable for cash or any other products.

  2. Delivery
    The prize will be delivered to a New Zealand residential address provided by the winner. Delivery is subject to standard Meat Box delivery terms and area restrictions.

  3. General Conditions

  • The Meat Box reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the giveaway at any time without notice.

  • By participating, subscribers agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and the decisions of The Meat Box, which are final.

  • Employees of The Meat Box and associated companies are not eligible to win.


Slow Cooker Giveaway - Terms & Conditions

  • The competition runs from 24 May 2026 until 11:59pm NZST on 31 May 2026.
  • To enter, customers must place an order on The Meat Box website during the promotional period.
  • Orders must be fulfilled before the prize is supplied. Cancelled, refunded, fraudulent, or fully refunded orders will not be eligible and will be excluded from the draw.
  • Two winners will be drawn at random from all eligible orders received during the promotional period.
  • Each winner will receive a prize pack valued at approximately $340, including:
    • Russell Hobbs Slow Cooker
    • Rolled Chicken
    • Pork Shoulder
    • Lamb Shanks
    • Beef Cheek
    • Beef Short Ribs
  • If any advertised prize item is unavailable or out of stock, it may be substituted with a similar item of equal or greater value at The Meat Box’s discretion.
  • Winners will be contacted using the contact details provided with their order.
  • The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
  • Employees of Kennerley Group, along with their immediate family members and close friends, are not eligible to enter.
  • By entering, winners agree to The Meat Box using their first name and/or social media handle for promotional purposes unless otherwise requested.
  • This promotion is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years and over.

Easter Long Weekend Giveaway - Terms and Conditions

  • The Easter Long Weekend Giveaway consists of two promotions: an Order to Win giveaway and a Social (Instagram) giveaway.
  • The Order to Win promotion applies to eligible online orders placed between 23 March 2026 and 29 March 2026 (inclusive). Each completed order during this period receives one automatic entry into the draw.
  • The Social Giveaway applies to entries made via Instagram between 24 March 2026 and 29 March 2026 (inclusive). To enter, participants must follow @themeatboxnz and @slowlifecollection and comment. Each comment counts as one entry.
  • Two winners will be drawn on 30 March 2026 - one from all eligible orders and one from all valid Instagram entries. Winners will be contacted directly.
  • Each winner will receive a Slowlife Wool Cooler Bag and Meat Box products to the value of $200 NZD. Total prize value is approximately $400 NZD.

Free Bacon Promotion - Terms and Conditions

  • The Free Bacon promotion applies to eligible online orders placed between 15 March 2026 and 29 March 2026 (inclusive).
  • To qualify, a minimum order value of $50 applies.
  • A chilled item must be ordered for free bacon to be sent. If produce is only ordered, then free bacon won't be sent. 
  • The free bacon item is a 250g pack of Streaky Bacon. The Meat Box reserves the right to substitute this product with a similar item of equal value at any time.
  • This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion, discount code, or deal unless otherwise stated.
  • The free bacon offer applies only to qualifying orders during the promotional period and is subject to availability.The Meat Box reserves the right to amend or withdraw this promotion at any time.

Free Delivery Promotion - Terms and Conditions

  • The Free Delivery promotion applies to standard delivery fees on orders placed between 1 March 2026 and 14 March 2026 (inclusive).
  • Free delivery is available on orders with a minimum spend of $50.
  • This promotion applies to standard metro delivery only. Rural delivery charges, Saturday delivery fees, and any re-delivery charges are excluded and will still apply where relevant.
  • The promotion is valid for online orders only and cannot be used in conjunction with any other delivery offer unless otherwise stated.
  • The Meat Box reserves the right to amend or withdraw this promotion at any time.

Black Friday Feast – Terms & Conditions

The Black Friday Feast sale includes up to 40% off selected meat cuts and up to 50% off selected produce. Discounts apply to selected products only and do not include the full Meat Box range. Christmas Ham discounts exclude all free range hams. Streaky Bacon discount is for 250g only.

Sale pricing is valid from Monday 17 November until Monday 1 December 2025 at 11.59pm NZDT, or while stocks last.

All discounts are applied as marked on product pages. Stock is strictly limited and deals are available on a first-come, first-served basis until sold out. Adding an item to your cart does not reserve stock.

Offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion, voucher, discount code, subscription offer, or bundle deal unless expressly stated. Trade orders are not eligible.

Product availability, pricing, and discounts may vary during the sale period based on stock levels.

The Meat Box reserves the right to amend, adjust, or end the sale or any offer at any time without prior notice, including correcting any errors or inaccuracies.

Pre-orders placed before the Black Friday Feast sale are not eligible for price adjustments.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances, The Meat Box may substitute a product of equal or higher value if required. If a suitable substitution cannot be made, the item may be cancelled and refunded.

Orders are subject to standard delivery timeframes and service areas. Delays may occur during peak periods.
