Where We Deliver
We deliver nationwide across New Zealand, with premium overnight delivery available to most metro addresses.
Unfortunately, we do not deliver to the Chatham Islands, Great Barrier Island, or other hard-to-reach locations. Not sure if we can reach you? Use the postcode checker at the top of our website to find out.
Rural Deliveries
Our insulated boxes are designed to keep your meat chilled and fresh for up to 48 hours. However, because rural courier networks can sometimes take longer than this, rural delivery is at your own risk.
We do not guarantee freshness or offer refunds or replacements for rural deliveries that arrive late. That said, many of our rural customers have had great experiences — it all depends on how fast your local courier operates.
If you're rural and confident in your local courier’s speed, you’re welcome to order — just know it’s at your discretion.

Delivery days vary depending on your location. At checkout, enter your postcode to see available delivery days for your area.
Important: The delivery day shown is based on metro addresses. If you're rural, your order may arrive 2–3 days later.
Delivery Timeframes
You can select your preferred delivery date at checkout. Our courier partners deliver on the selected day 94% of the time — but occasionally, delays do happen.

Guaranteed Freshness (Metro Only)
Every box is packed with compostable wool liners and slow-temper gel ice packs, designed to keep your meat fresh on it's journey to you.
We guarantee freshness for metro deliveries only. If your meat doesn’t arrive fresh, contact us at info@themeatbox.co.nz and include your order number — we’ll investigate and make it right.
We do not guarantee freshness for rural deliveries due to the extended transit times.
If you are getting your order delivered to your business address, please ensure you have a chilled place to store your meat till you head home at the end of the day. Most orders will be delivered between 9 am-5 pm on your chosen day.
Delivery Delays
Over 94% of our orders arrive on the selected delivery day, so in most cases, your delivery will arrive as planned.
Delivery times can occasionally vary due to factors like weather conditions, traffic, road closures, courier delays, or high order volumes.
In rare cases, delays could occur where weather conditions make it unsafe for our drivers to deliver, there are road closures that extend delivery times (for example the closure of the Auckland Harbour Bridge), or there is a local or national emergency declared.
