Juicy Smash Burgers

Crispy edges, juicy centre, and full-on flavour in every bite. These smash burgers are quick, no-fuss, and seriously satisfying.

6-8 Burgers

Ingredients
  • 1kg Pork & Beef Mince (or your favourite Mince)
  • 6–8 burger buns
  • 6–8 slices cheese (cheddar or American-style)
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced (optional)
  • Butter or oil for cooking
  • Salt & pepper
  • Pickles
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Burger sauce or aioli
  • Plus anymore of your favourite toppings!
Cooking Instructions
  • Divide mince into 6–8 evenly sized balls (about 120–150g each). Don’t overwork them.
  • Heat a pan or BBQ plate until very hot. Add a little oil.
  • Place mince balls down, then smash flat with a spatula or burger press.
  • Season with salt and cook for 2–3 minutes until crispy edges form.
  • Flip, add cheese, and cook another 1–2 minutes.
  • Toast buns in butter until golden.
  • Stack burgers with your favourite toppings and serve hot


Tips:

  • Smash once only — that’s how you get the crispy crust
  • The pork content helps stop patties drying out
  • Double up patties if you want a proper feed
