Pulled Pork Burgers

The perfect, sticky pulled pork burger for that takeaway night!

Ingredients

800g pork butt or 1kg Heat & Eat Pulled Pork for a quick an easy version!

1/2c apple cider vinegar 

Rub

If using Heat & Eat Pulled pork Rub ingredients aren't needed

1 1/2T brown sugar

1/2T smoked paprika 

1/2T garlic powder 

2t salt

1t mustard powder 

1t onion flakes 

1t cumin powder

1/2t black pepper

1c bbq sauce

Burger essentials

6 burger buns

Shredded red cabbage 

Shredded green cabbage 

Mayonnaise and your favourite condiments

Cooking Instructions

For Pork Butt: 

  1. Mix the rub ingredients together then massage all over the pork butt. 
  2. Place into a slow cooker and pour over the apple cider vinegar. Cook for 10-12 hours. 
  3. Preheat the oven to 180°C and transfer the pork to a roasting dish. Drizzle half a cup of the juices over top and bake for 20 minutes or until the surface of the pork has darkened slightly. 
  4. Shred using two forks and mix through the bbq sauce. 

For Heat & Eat: 

  1. Make it easy with our Heat & Eat Pulled Pork. Cooked to sous vide perfection, simply remove from packaging, pop in the microwave and heat on high for 4-6 minutes, or until heated through.

For the Burgers: 

  1. Mix some mayonnaise through the cabbage and spoon onto the bbq bun bases. 
  2. Top with some of the pork and add a little bbq sauce. Place the burger lid on top and enjoy.
