1/2T brown sugar
1t smoked paprika
1t garlic powder
1/4t mustard powder
1/4t ground cumin
1/4t black pepper
1.6kg Beef short ribs
Preheat your oven to 160°C.
Mix the rub ingredients together in a small bowl then massage all over the flesh. Place in a roasting dish meat side down.
Mix the bbq sauce with 1c water and pour over the ribs. Cover the dish tightly with tin foil and bake for 3 hours.
Remove the dish from the oven and turn the ribs. Spoon some sauce over top then return to the oven without the foil. Bake for another 30 minutes.
Transfer the ribs to a serving dish. Mix the sauce together in the dish then pour into a jug to serve with the ribs.
